Yes my body was attacked! No doubt about it.
I stood nervously outside whilst all these young fit things queued up with their perfectly matching gym outfits on & full faces of make up.......???!!! I mean I was sweating like a P.I.G by the end, how did they all not look like frankinsteins wife??!!!
I was really up for the class & I knew I'd find it hard but possibly not as hard as I did find it! Half way through the class I was thinking.....give me a marathon anyday!!! I also thought I had pretty good co-ordination as well but when you don't really know the routine & everyone else does...boy do you get glared at by the bunnies!!! hee hee
I kept telling myself you can do an hours class, you have run 2 marathons!! Bet none of these girls have run a marathon..... but I still felt out of place, extremely overweight & unfit! How daft is that..... maybe I need to invest in matching lycra in pink ;o)
So, I have therefore decided that I am built for endurance not speed!! (or jumping jacks for that matter)
Think I'll stick to the gym for my cross training or go to Body combat class (which is kick boxing) & a class I enjoy & if one of the bunnies glares at me I can pretend its her I'm punching or kick boxing during the class.....meeeooowww, saucer of milk for Nessie!!!

Why do people wear hats in the gym? Ok, I get a running cap or something like that, but why do people wear beanies?? During a class???
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I have at times wanted to wear a balaclava but for totally different reasons!!! ;o) People do the funniest things in gyms don't they!!
